20 Years. Zero Batteries. Zero Maintenance.

TextMeButton is powered by kinetic energy harvesting. The physical act of pressing the button generates all the electricity needed to send a wireless signal. There is no battery inside. There is no charging port. There is no solar panel. It runs for 20+ years without ever changing a single battery.

The mechanical energy from your finger press is converted into electrical energy on the spot. This is the same proven technology used in commercial buildings worldwide for over two decades — now available for your home and business.

Simple Texts That Keep You in the Loop

Tap any card to see how it works

💊

Did my son take his anxiety medicine?

The scenario: Your 14-year-old has a daily prescription for anxiety. You're at work by 7am. He's supposed to take it before school, but "I forgot" has become a weekly thing. You don't want to nag — and honestly, you can't always check.

The fix: Stick a TextMeButton right next to his pill bottle on the bathroom counter. Every morning, he takes his pill and presses the button. You get a text at 7:15am that says "Lincoln took his medicine." If 8am rolls around and no text? You send one quick reminder. No arguments, no interrogation — just a gentle system that works for both of you.
🏠

Press this when you get home

The scenario: Your kids ride the bus home and get there around 3:30pm. You're still at the office until 5. They're old enough to be home alone, but young enough that you want to know they actually made it. Texts go unanswered. Calls go to voicemail.

The fix: Stick a TextMeButton right inside the front door, eye level. The rule is simple: walk in, drop your backpack, press the button. You get a text at work: "Kids are home." It takes one second. No phone required. No app to open. Just press and done. You breathe easier for the rest of the afternoon.
💊

Did I take my medicine today?

The scenario: It's 2pm and you're staring at your pill organizer trying to remember if you took your morning dose. You do this three times a week. Sometimes you double-dose by accident. Sometimes you skip entirely.

The fix: TextMeButton sits right next to your pills. Take your dose, press the button. The text goes to your own phone as a timestamp. Can't remember if you took it? Scroll your texts. There it is: "Medicine taken at 7:42am." No more guessing, no more anxiety about whether you already took it.
🐔

Have the chickens been taken care of?

The scenario: You've got 12 hens out back. Feeding and watering is supposed to rotate between your two teenagers, but "I thought it was your turn" is a daily argument. Meanwhile the chickens are thirsty and you're the one who ends up doing it at 9pm in your pajamas.

The fix: Mount a TextMeButton right on the coop door. Whoever does the morning chores presses it when they're done. The whole family gets a text: "Chickens fed and watered." No more finger-pointing. No more dried-out water bowls. And you stay in your pajamas.
🆘

SOS / Emergency Alert

The scenario: Your mom lives alone and had a fall last year. She doesn't always have her phone nearby. You've tried medical alert necklaces but she hates wearing them — says they make her feel old.

The fix: Stick TextMeButtons in three spots: next to her bed, in the bathroom, and by her favorite chair. If she falls or feels dizzy or just needs help, one press sends an alert text to you, your sister, and her neighbor: "Mom needs help." No necklace. No phone. No fumbling. Just one press from wherever she is.
🧹

I cleaned the bathroom

The scenario: Saturday chore list says "clean the bathroom." Your daughter says she did it. You walk in — the mirror is still spotted, the counter is wet, and the toilet? Let's not talk about the toilet. "I DID clean it!" she insists.

The fix: Stick a TextMeButton under the bathroom sink. The deal: clean the bathroom properly, then press the button. You get a text: "Bathroom cleaned." Now there's a record. And somehow, knowing there's a button to press makes the job feel more official. Kids take it more seriously when there's a system.
🌙

Goodnight check-in

The scenario: Bedtime is 9pm. You're downstairs finishing dishes. Your kid is supposedly in bed but you've caught them on their tablet at 10:30 twice this week. You're tired of being the bedtime police.

The fix: TextMeButton goes on the wall next to their bed. Lights out, press the button. You get a text downstairs: "In bed. Goodnight." It's their way of checking in without you having to march upstairs. It builds trust and gives them a tiny bit of ownership over their routine.
🚶

Did my dog walker come?

The scenario: You pay a dog walker $20 a visit to come while you're at work. They say they came at noon, but your dog still seems full of energy when you get home. You have no way to verify without installing cameras — and even then, who wants to review footage every day?

The fix: Stick a TextMeButton right inside your front door. The walker presses it when they arrive. You get a text at work: "Dog walker is here — 12:04pm." No cameras. No awkward conversations. Just a simple timestamp that gives you peace of mind. You know your dog is getting the walk you're paying for.
👴

Senior check-in

The scenario: Your 82-year-old dad lives alone in his house 45 minutes away. He's independent and proud of it, but you worry. Calling every morning feels like hovering. Not calling feels irresponsible. He forgets to charge his phone half the time anyway.

The fix: TextMeButton goes on the kitchen counter next to the coffee maker. Every morning when he makes his coffee, he presses the button. You get a text: "Dad is up and moving." No phone needed. No app to learn. Just one press with his morning routine. If 10am comes and no text? That's when you call. Simple peace of mind for everyone.

TextMeButton for Business

Physical proof of presence. No apps. No accounts. No excuses.

🏗

Construction Site Check-In

The problem: You're managing a job site with 8 subs. Half of them bill by the hour. You can't be on-site every morning to verify arrivals, and sign-in sheets get lost, forged, or forgotten.

The fix: Mount a TextMeButton at the site entrance. Workers press it when they arrive. You get a timestamped text: "Worker arrived — 6:47am." Now you have proof for billing disputes, compliance audits, and OSHA documentation. No app to install on anyone's phone. No training. Just press and go.
🛡

Security Guard Patrol

The problem: Your security company charges for hourly patrols, but how do you know the guard actually walked every checkpoint? GPS can be spoofed. Paper logs get fabricated. Guard tour wand systems cost $500+ and need proprietary tags.

The fix: Mount TextMeButtons at each checkpoint along the patrol route. The guard presses each one as they pass. You get a complete timestamped patrol log: "Checkpoint B3 — 2:14am." Physical proof of presence that can't be faked from the parking lot. Zero maintenance — no batteries to replace across dozens of checkpoints.
🧹

Restroom Cleaning Log

The problem: Every hotel, airport, and restaurant has a paper sign-off sheet on the bathroom wall. Nobody trusts it. Managers can't verify if cleaning actually happened. Customers complain. Health inspectors ask questions.

The fix: Replace the clipboard with a TextMeButton inside each restroom. Janitor cleans, then presses. Management gets a timestamped log: "Restroom B cleaned — 11:32am." Digital compliance records with zero training. Works for any facility — hotels, schools, offices, retail.
🚌

School Bus Sweep

The problem: Every year, children are left on school buses. Drivers are required to walk the bus after each route to check every seat, but there's no way to prove the sweep happened. Districts face lawsuits and tragedy.

The fix: Mount a TextMeButton at the very back of the bus. After walking every row, the driver presses it at the rear. Dispatch gets a text: "Bus #47 swept clear — 3:52pm." If no text comes in, dispatch calls immediately. Simple proof that saves lives. No app, no tablet, no training.
🌲

Lone Worker Check-In

The problem: Your field crew works remote sites — forestry, utilities, oil & gas, cell towers. OSHA requires regular welfare checks for lone workers, but cell service is spotty and guys forget to radio in.

The fix: TextMeButton at the work site. Worker presses every hour as a check-in. Dispatch gets a text: "Site 14 check-in — 2:00pm." If an hour passes with no press, dispatch triggers a welfare check. Simple, reliable, no phone needed. Meets OSHA lone worker compliance requirements.

Equipment Inspection

The problem: Pre-shift equipment inspections are required but rarely verified. Did someone actually check the forklift? Walk the dock? Inspect the fire extinguishers? Nobody knows until something goes wrong.

The fix: Mount TextMeButtons at each inspection point. Technician inspects, then presses. Supervisors get a complete log: "Forklift A inspected — 5:58am." Missed inspections trigger alerts. Compliance documentation happens automatically. Perfect for warehouses, manufacturing floors, and fleet operations.
🧑‍⚕️

Counseling Appointment Check-In

The scenario: You're a therapist or counselor with a small practice. Clients arrive and sit awkwardly in the waiting room — sometimes you lose track of time and they wait too long. You don't have a receptionist to announce them.

The fix: Put a TextMeButton in your waiting room with a simple sign: "Press when you arrive." When your client presses it, you get a text: "Your client has arrived." No receptionist. No awkward knocking. No wasted session time.

Built by Jared Eggett — I built this because of my son's anxiety medicine. My wife was constantly frustrated when he'd forget to take it, and we had no simple way to know if he did. I didn't need an app or a smart home system. I just needed a button he could press that would text us: "I took my medicine." That one problem sparked everything. Now TextMeButton is here for your family too.

✨ First 50 Buyers: Custom Etching

For the first 50 people who purchase a TextMeButton, we will custom etch the words you want directly onto the product. Once 50 are claimed, this offer is gone.

About texting costs: Every text TextMeButton sends is a real SMS delivered through our messaging infrastructure. Each message costs us real money to deliver, which is why texting isn't free forever. That said, your first 12 months include 100 texts/month completely free. After that, text packs start at just $2.99/month for 500 texts, or go unlimited for $7.99/month. Most families never exceed the free tier.

Can I customize the text message?

Absolutely. Name your button, write your message, and you're done.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about TextMeButton

How does SMS work without an app? +

SMS is a text message. Any phone that receives texts can get them. No app download needed. No account to create. Your recipients just get a text message like any other text they receive. Your grandma's phone works. So does yours.

How does the button power itself? +

TextMeButton uses kinetic energy harvesting. When you press the button, the mechanical motion is converted directly into electrical power that sends a wireless signal to the hub. There is no battery inside. There is no charging port. There is no solar panel. This technology has been proven over 20+ years in commercial buildings and is designed to run for 20+ years without ever changing a battery. Backed by a 5-year guarantee.

What happens if the internet goes down? +

The button still sends the wireless signal to the hub. When your internet connection returns, the hub automatically sends the pending SMS messages. Since the hub uses a wired Ethernet connection, it's more reliable than WiFi-based systems that can drop signal.

Can I customize the text message? +

Yes! You can configure each button to send custom messages. For example: "Medicine confirmed at 7:32 AM", "Chickens fed at 6:15 PM", "Dinner ready". You set up the message through the web portal or the app.

How do I set it up? +

Plug the hub into your router with the included Ethernet cable. Scan the QR code with your phone camera. Add the phone numbers of people who should receive texts. Configure your message. That's it. 2 minutes total. No app download required for basic setup.

Are there any ongoing costs? +

TextMeButton includes 100 text notifications per month at no extra charge. Most families never hit this limit. If you need more, additional text packs are available in the app starting at $2.99/month for 500 texts, or you can upgrade to unlimited texts for $7.99/month. There are no other subscriptions, fees, or hidden costs.

Why do text notifications have a limit? +

Every text notification TextMeButton sends is a real SMS message delivered through cell carriers — the same way any text message works. Carriers charge us a fee for every single message we send on your behalf. Your first 12 months of texting (100/month) are on us — we want the core experience to just work out of the box. After that, text packs start at $2.99/month for 500 texts or $7.99/month unlimited. We're not making money on texts — we're just making sure we can keep sending them.

Is my data private? +

Yes. The hub is local to your home — no unnecessary cloud storage. Your phone numbers and press history are encrypted. We never sell or share your information.

Do I need multiple hubs? +

One hub can support multiple buttons. You can add additional buttons for different rooms or different purposes. Each button can be configured to send different SMS messages to different people.

What about smart home integration? +

SMS is our core feature and works out of the box. Smart home integration (Alexa announcements, Google Home, Matter protocol) is on our stretch goal roadmap. If we hit our funding goals, we'll add it. If all you ever need is a text, that works perfectly too.
